STORE / Availability

Check your account region first

The product link is the same, but purchasing availability depends on your storefront.

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. If you can’t find it, first check the country or region associated with your Apple ID instead of trying different search terms. The App Store displays apps by storefront, and the storefront associated with your account affects search results, product page availability, and eligibility to buy. Your device’s language, current network connection, and physical location don’t determine the purchasing account’s region.

To check: open Settings > Apple ID > Media & Purchases > View Account > Country/Region. You may need to verify your account. Make sure you’re checking the account used for Media & Purchases, especially if it differs from the Apple ID shown elsewhere in Settings. Don’t rely only on the name at the top of the Settings screen.

To review the steps for changing your region, open Change Country or Region on the same Country/Region page and read the listed requirements before proceeding. Your account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing status, or payment method may affect whether you can change regions; follow the prompts shown in your account. This page explains where to check, but can’t guarantee that a particular account can change regions. Don’t skip account prompts just to continue.

The main button on this page opens the US storefront product page. Seeing product details in a browser doesn’t mean the account you’re signed in with can buy from that storefront. After opening the App Store, check the page and account prompts again. If the app isn’t available in your region, address the storefront setting first rather than treating it as a device problem. For more on checking your account and storefront availability, see the Getting the App guide.

VERIFY / Authenticity

Developer, icon, app ID

Verify all three. A similar name or icon alone isn’t enough to confirm the app before buying.

App ID: 932747118

First, verify the developer name. Open the App Store product page and confirm the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t buy based only on the app title in search results. Names can be similar; check the developer information carefully. The page may show developer or seller details in different places, so expand the relevant information to confirm the full name.

Next, check the official icon. Shadowrocket’s icon is a blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the official icon shown on this page. Use the icon as a visual aid, but never rely on it without checking the developer name and app ID. If search results show a similar name, icon, or added wording, return to the product link on this page rather than relying on the result order.

Finally, verify the app ID. The App Store link on this page ends in id932747118; the number 932747118 identifies this app. Seeing Shadowrocket in a webpage title doesn’t confirm that you’ve opened the correct product page; check the ID in the link too. Once all three details match, review the price, compatibility, and purchase button.

The two images on the right are official English-interface screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. They show Home and Add Server for reference, not as a substitute for verifying the app. The layout may vary by device and App Store listing. Verify the app by checking the developer, official icon, and app ID.

Home shows the connection status, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and SERVER groups. Add Server lets you enter your own server details or import them according to their type. These fields don’t mean the app includes a working connection. After buying and installing it, configure the app with your own details.

Buy and open Shadowrocket on iPhone

Install the app from the App Store before setting up its connection.

On iPhone, use the main button on this page to open the App Store. Verify the app, then check the purchase price. For your first purchase, follow the system prompts to confirm payment and wait for the app to appear on your Home Screen or in the App Library. Refer to the App Store page for compatibility and system requirements. If the page says your device isn’t compatible, review the compatibility details first; a successful purchase doesn’t necessarily mean the app can be installed right away.

Before buying, check that your device has enough free storage and that the App Store isn’t showing account prompts that need attention. If the download stalls, check the specific message from the system. A network interruption, low storage, and a pending payment are different issues. Save the full error message so you can tell whether to check your device, network, or account; you don’t need to start by buying the app again.

Once installation is complete, open Shadowrocket and check the current status on Home. Not Connected is a normal initial state after a fresh install and doesn’t mean the purchase failed. Get your own subscription link or server details ready, then go to Add Server and choose the appropriate Type. Buying the app and configuring connection details are separate steps; you’ll need to complete the latter before testing the connection.

When adding or enabling a VPN configuration, the system may ask you to allow the configuration and confirm using your device passcode or another system verification method. This authorizes the app to create a system connection configuration; it isn’t another purchase charge. Continue only if you initiated the action. If you haven’t approved it, return to the app and check the connection action and system prompt instead of submitting another App Store payment.

To check your purchase history, open the account page in the App Store and view your purchased items. After installation, check that your details are complete, Global Routing matches your configuration, and review the Connectivity Test result. See the Getting Started guide for setup steps; this page covers the App Store purchase and installation process.

iPad and the same Apple ID

Shadowrocket is available on both iPhone and iPad; check the configuration on each device after installation.

If you’ve already bought Shadowrocket with an Apple ID, find it under Purchased in the App Store on your iPad and download it again. You don’t need to buy it a second time just to use it on iPad after buying it for iPhone. The same account means the Apple ID used for the original purchase. If the iPad is signed in to a different account under Media & Purchases, using the same device owner isn’t enough to find the original purchase.

Before you start, check which account is used for App Store purchases on your iPad. Open the account page, view Purchased, and search for Shadowrocket. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. If the product page still shows a price, first check that you’re signed in with the original purchasing account, that the transaction completed, and that the product ID is correct. Don’t assume the original purchase is missing just because a price appears.

The larger iPad screen may change how pages, lists, and details appear in portrait or landscape compared with iPhone. When following this guide, look for interface labels such as Home, Config, and Settings rather than expecting every button to be in the same place as in a screenshot. Use your own details when importing; don’t infer parameter values from how fields look in a screenshot.

Installing the app on both devices doesn’t mean subscriptions, configuration files, or connection status will automatically appear on each one. After installation, check the SERVER list and active Config. If details are missing, reimport your own saved information. Even with the same details, authorize the system configuration and test the connection on each device separately; success on one doesn’t mean the other is ready.

RESTORE / Purchased Items

Restore on a new device in two steps

Restore the app purchase first, then restore your own connection details.

When you switch devices or reinstall the app, sign in to the App Store with the Apple ID used for the original purchase. Go to Account > Purchased, find Shadowrocket, and download it again. The exact menu labels may vary by system version; look for your purchased apps on the account page. If the original purchase is valid and the current storefront allows redownloading, you won’t need to pay again.

If Shadowrocket isn’t listed, first check that the account under Media & Purchases is the one used for the purchase, then review the original transaction. Having used the app before doesn’t necessarily mean the currently signed-in account paid for it. An icon in a device backup isn’t a substitute for a purchase record either. If the original transaction was refunded or never completed, check its actual status in the App Store.

After restoring the app, restore your subscription and server details. Open Home and check the SERVER list, then see whether Config contains the configuration you need. If anything is missing, reimport it using your own saved subscription link or server details. Reinstalling doesn’t guarantee that in-app data will be retained; the App Store’s redownload button restores the app, not its configuration.

Before switching devices, make sure you can access your existing subscription link, server parameters, and any configuration files you need to keep. Subscription links may contain access credentials, so store them securely and don’t share the full link in public screenshots or Q&A posts. After restoring, check the address, port, and protocol parameters, then test the connection. If your details have expired, reinstalling the client won’t make them valid again.

Family Sharing and restoring a purchase made with the same Apple ID are different situations. If you want to use Family Sharing, first check whether it’s supported on the current App Store product page, then review your Family Sharing group and purchase-sharing settings. Availability depends on the App Store page and account prompts. Don’t assume you can redownload the app just because a family member bought it.

PRICE / What you pay for

One-time purchase what it covers

$2.99 US storefront reference price

Prices appear in each storefront’s local currency. Refer to the App Store page for the actual price.

Shadowrocket is a commercial app sold for a one-time purchase, not a monthly client fee. The US storefront reference price is $2.99; other storefronts show local currency. Check the final amount on the App Store confirmation screen before paying. Currency, tax display, and prices vary by region, so don’t assume that converting the US reference price gives the final charge in another storefront.

A one-time app purchase ≠ a service subscription. This purchase is for the app itself; it doesn’t provide a server address, subscription link, or working connection. Before use, you’ll need your own subscription or server details to import into the app. This is the Shadowrocket Official Guide; it doesn’t provide, sell, or recommend proxy servers or subscriptions.

Check the app purchase and the status of your own service separately. If the app purchase succeeded but importing didn’t add any usable entries, check your details and import method. If an entry is present but won’t connect, check its settings, network conditions, and validity. Paying again for the app won’t resolve these issues, and a failed connection doesn’t mean the App Store transaction failed.

App updates are delivered through the App Store. Automatic updates depend on your device’s App Store settings. To check current features or compatibility changes, refer to the product page and in-app information. Redownloads and updates must use the correct purchasing account; keep your purchase record so you can check it when switching devices.

Before paying, check that the app is available in your current storefront, the developer and app ID are correct, your device is compatible, the price is clear, and you have your connection details ready. If payment is pending or the download fails, read the system prompt and check the transaction status first. Don’t treat an incomplete transaction as a reason to start another purchase.

FAQ / Purchase Questions

Download and restore FAQ

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. App availability depends on the country or region associated with your Apple ID. Check your current storefront under Settings > Apple ID > Media & Purchases > View Account > Country/Region, then open the App Store product link on this page. Changing your region requires meeting the conditions listed in your Apple Account settings.

Why can’t I download Shadowrocket after opening its product page?

Note the full App Store message, then check storefront availability, your account’s payment status, device compatibility, and available storage separately. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. If the purchase is complete, check your purchase history before trying to pay again.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall the app?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase. Find Shadowrocket under your App Store account’s purchased items and download it again; you usually won’t need to pay again. Restoring the app doesn’t restore its configuration. On your new device, check and import your own subscription or server details.

Can I install Shadowrocket on my iPad after buying it for iPhone?

Yes. Shadowrocket is a universal app for iPhone and iPad. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase, then download it from Purchased in the iPad App Store. Check device compatibility before installing; refer to the App Store page for system requirements.

Can I install Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the product page on your device. Universal purchase availability and system requirements are as listed on the App Store page; the App Store remains the only way to get the app.

Where should I start if the app opens in English?

Start on Home by checking the connection status and SERVER list. To import your own existing subscription, go to Add Server and select the appropriate Type for your details. This guide keeps interface labels such as Home, Config, and Global Routing in English; follow the Getting Started guide step by step.
